Action Alert! Let's end "Don't Ask, Don't Tell"
We need you to call Congress right now!
As Congress takes important votes this week, we have a real opportunity to move toward repealing "Don't Ask, Don't Tell." Our brave soldiers will be able to serve our country with the confidence that they will not be persecuted.
But we need your help to make it happen.
The president, the secretary of defense and the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff have all weighed in on their conclusion that DADT should be repealed. This vote in Congress is a critical first step in bringing down the barriers to open service.
But we need you to call Congress right now!
Please call your representative and senators today! Don't put it off, be sure and leave a message if you can't reach someone. All calls are counted! Call the U.S. Capitol Switchboard at 202.224.3121. Give the operator your zip code and ask to be connected to your representative. Tell them to include DADT repeal as an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2011, that you are a constituent and that you vote.
Your call can help change the lives of courageous lesbian, gay and bisexual service members who have been forced to serve under an unfair discriminatory policy for far too long.
