Currently, it is estimated that there are three million lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) elders. By 2030, that number will nearly double.

• Protect Social Security and Medicare;
• Expand employment training for older workers, especially persons forced out because of ageist and/or homophobic discrimination practices;
• Amend the Older Americans Act to include specific language for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender elders as a protected constituency for all services.
